Turkiye calls for enhanced ties with Iran to resolve regional issues

Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus yesterday called for strengthened cooperation with Iran in order to resolve regional issues, Anadolu agency reported. This came during a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on the sidelines of the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva, Switzerland. During the meeting, Kurtulmus said Israel does not only target Gaza and Palestine, but also seeks to launch a greater regional attack, adding that the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which acts with religious fanaticism mentality, wants to take the attacks to a higher level.
