Turkiye aims to boost gastronomy tourism revenues to $18bn with UNESCO cooperation

Turkiye is embarking on an ambitious plan to elevate its gastronomy tourism sector, setting a target to increase revenues to $18 billion by the end of the year. Central to this initiative is the introduction of 2,200 local dishes, aimed at showcasing the country’s rich culinary heritage. The effort is being undertaken in collaboration with UNESCO, which will lend its expertise and support to promote Turkiye’s gastronomic culture on a global stage.
