The Sudanese Sovereignty Council expressed its hopes yesterday of stronger relations and continued cooperation with Turkiye. The comment was made during a meeting between the Vice President of the council, Malik Agar, and the Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Fatih Yildiz, at the former’s office in Port Sudan. Agar praised Turkiye’s support for Sudan in all fields, especially on humanitarian issues. He expressed his “gratitude and appreciation to Turkiye’s government and people, for their stance, support and assistance to the Sudanese people during the war” that has been ongoing since mid-April last year.
